The annual 8th grade night at JH Rose High School provides an opportunity for all 8th grade band students to experience what it is like to be a member of a high school marching band. They gain experience by performing in a different setting, a different genre of music, maneuvering on and off of the field, memorizing their music for performance and they get a first hand look at what to prepare for in their future high school career. Students from Eppes and Aycock will be bussed after school to Rose High School on a specified Friday afternoon for an afternoon rehearsal, dinner and football game experience. Students should wear their EB Aycock Band Uniform shirts, jeans or black pants and sneakers. The JH Rose HS Parent Band Boosters provides dinner at no cost to our students and their admission to the game is FREE!! Students will then perform the National Anthem around 7:00 pm and stay to play in the stands during the game. Parents have two options for pick up one at 9:15 and the second at 10:15. Students will store their belongings in the band room across the hall from the auditorium and parents should plan to pick up their child from the auditorium entrance of JHR.
